The General Security Challenge Coin
Challenge Coins have been around nearly 100 years and are common within military, law enforcement, and security companies around the world. They are designed to improve unit camaraderie and cohesion. Different organisations normally exchange coins with each other.
We at General Security have put our four company values, Passion, Integrity, Quality, and Commitment on our coin. All our employees have their own coin to reinforce our company values and are encouraged to challenge each other about them. From time to time an employee may give a coin to a person who, in their opinion, shares our company values. This may be through demonstrating these values in some form and this is what creates camaraderie. Very few organisations in NZ utilise challenge coins, however, we are not afraid to be one of the first.
